PHYSICAL EDUCATION STANDARDS

FITNESS TESTING
We are incorporating the Fitnessgram program into our curriculum. The tests include the sit and reach flexibility test and the PACER which measures endurance. The students also do the push up, curl up and trunk lift tests. The tests are done in the fall and spring. All students are encouraged to do their best and participate in activities in PE and outside of school throughout the year. Our goal is to help the children improve their individual fitness and test scores.
Grades 4 & 5 scores are recorded. Parents who would like their child's scores can contact PE teachers by email.
