Mrs. Pionke
I grew up in of Evanston near Northwestern University where my father worked as a Chemistry Professor. I attended University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana to earn a BS in Physical Education, and then went to earn a Masters in Education from National Louis University.
I started teaching in Evanston at Saint Mary's school, then joined district #65 teaching at King Lab and Oakton elementary. I moved to Washington school to teach with my sister Ms. Silkaitis until she retired in 2017. I am now happily teaching with Washington's new PE teacher Jonathan Roberts.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and participating in outdoor activities. I also love staying active in yoga, bike riding, swimming, and running. I love teaching at Washington school because of its wonderful 'Village': students, teachers, staff and parents!
